Disaster/Emergency Plan

1) Errol Pet Sitting will notify you as soon as possible after a disaster has occurred

2) We recommend that you carry a Errol Pet Sitting business card with you when you travel to have all contact information. Call our voice mail system for updates if a situation has occurred.

3) Your home and pets will be checked as soon as it is safely possible.

4) All Pets in jeopardy will be taken to a safe location, provided proper permission has been provided beforehand.

5) If travel conditions are dangerous, your emergency contacts will be notified to care for your pets.

6)  Your service schedule may need to be altered due to the situations

7) We may have to request your return home if possible depending on the situation at hand.

Disaster Kit for Clients:

Errol Pet Sitting asks that you have the following available in a waterproof zip lock bag:

• A recent photo of each pet with name and age on the back .
• a copy of all medical records.  Note-Must be up to date on all vacinations to be taken to a local pet friendly shelter!
• written permission to get emergency veterinary treatment in the owner's absence .
• a note on each pet that would include how each pet handles stress, travel and being crated .
• favorite hiding spots in the case of an evaculation situation .
• list of family or friends who would be willing to temporary house pets in an evacuation situation.
• Please have all carriers, extra food and water available in case of evacuation!
